Slashleaks had shared a render of the upcoming OPPO A79 handset about 10 days ago, and the leaker is now back with a ton of new images of this smartphone. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see 16 new images of the device, these are mostly renders, but there are a couple of real life images included here as well. These images will let you take a look at this phone from pretty much every side, so there’s nothing left to hide when it comes to its design.
As you can see, the OPPO A79 will arrive with really thin bezels, it will be made out of metal, and it will sport a single camera on its back. A fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of the device, and the phone’s main snapper will protrude on the back a bit. A 3.5mm headphone jack will be placed at the very bottom of the phone, next to the microphone, a Type-C USB port, and the phone’s loudspeaker. The OPPO A79 will sport thin black bars around its display, so its bezels won’t exactly be as thin as you’d think when you look at without powering on its display. Now, Slashleaks actually shared the OPPO A79’s specs about 10 days ago, and if that leak is to be believed, the phone will sport a 6.01-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this phone, while one such camera is expected to be included on the front side of the OPPO A79 as well.
A 2,900mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, it seems, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device. MediaTek’s MT6737T 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel this phone, while the device will measure 157.3 x 76 x 7.2mm, and weigh 140 grams. If Slashleaks’ previous info is to be believed, this smartphone will go on sale in China starting on November 30, and it will cost 2,399 Yuan, which means OPPO will announce it soon. All in all, the OPPO A79 seems like a more affordable variant of the OPPO R11s, the design is rather similar, though the phone sports only one camera on the back, and it’s inferior to the OPPO R11s in the spec department as well.
