The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have been leaking for quite some time now, and two new images of the latter have just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see two real life images that are allegedly showing off the Redmi 5 Plus handset, which is expected to arrive in the near future. The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will launch on November 11, if rumors are to be believed, though Xiaomi still did not confirm anything of the sort.
Having said that, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to be one of Xiaomi’s first Redmi-branded phones to ship with rather thin bezels, its bezels will be nowhere near the Galaxy S8 or the LG V30 level, but will be thinner than they were on previous devices. Now, if rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is actually getting ready to introduce the Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 soon, and all of these phones could land at the same time. In any case, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to ship with a 5.9-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The device will also sports MediaTek’s Helio P25 64-bit octa-core SoC, if the previously leaked info is accurate, though it’s worth noting that a Snapdragon variant of this phone could also arrive, as the Snapdragon 625 SoC was also mentioned a couple of times thus far. Rumors have also mentioned a 12-megapixel rear-facing snapper, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for this phone.
The Redmi 5 Plus will probably be made out of metal, and it will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The device will ship with MIUI 9 out of the box, and that version of Xiaomi’s UI will probably be installed on top of Android Nougat. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is actually expected to cost 1,099 Yuan ($165), and if the provided info is accurate, it will be the cheapest ‘full-screen’ smartphone to be announced by Xiaomi. If the company plans to introduce the Redmi 5 Plus and its siblings on November 11, chances are that we’ll get an official confirmation in the near future, so stay tuned for that.
