Taiwanese phone maker HTC just announced its two new additions to the U11 lineup, having officially unveiled the U11 Plus flagship and U11 Life mid-ranger. The actual availability details of the two devices are somewhat confusing and some limited information on the matter has so far been shared by several divisions of HTC, as well as Google. In terms of the high-end device, the HTC U11 Plus will become available for pre-orders in the United Kingdom on November 20th, starting at £699, or just over $925. The British unit of the company didn’t elaborate whether both memory configurations of the handset will be live for advanced orders from that date, though it did state that only the Ceramic Black variant that can be seen above will initially be offered in the U.K.
No firm release dates have yet been provided by the company, though its previous product launch patterns suggest that the U11 Plus should officially hit the market come early December, with HTC’s pre-order periods usually lasting for around two weeks. The handset was also announced in Amazing Silver and Translucent Black, though it’s still unclear which markets will receive these two color options. HTC’s German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Croatian websites are all already advertising the Android flagship, suggesting that it will eventually become available for purchase in those countries. The same goes for most other members of the European Union, as well as Switzerland and Norway, though neither the United States nor Canada is apparently set to be among the first to receive the U11 Plus, should that even happen.
The press releases sent by the North American division of HTC earlier today contained no mention of the U11 Plus and were solely focused on the U11 Life, suggesting that the OEM is either planning to debut its new flagship in the U.S. and Canada at a later date or is skipping these two markets entirely for some reason. As for the prices in European countries, the figure revealed by HTC U.K. suggests that consumers across the Old Continent will likely be able to purchase the U11 Plus for around €800, though it remains to be seen how much will the ultra-premium version with more RAM and storage space cost.
