Nokia 9 Shows Up On Amazon In Protective Case Renders

The unannounced Nokia 9 flagship phone has seemingly been leaked by a smartphone accessory retailer on Amazon UK who recently began selling protective cases for the still-unannounced device. The offer is accompanied by a handful of 3D renders which partially uncover the smartphone’s design and possibly confirm some of its previously rumored characteristics, such as the inclusion of an edge-to-edge display wrapping around the long edges of the case, and a dual-camera setup on the back.

The Nokia brand entered the Android smartphone market earlier this year under Finnish manufacturer HMD Global. The first Android-powered device from HMD was the Nokia 6 unveiled in January, and the company’s portfolio continued to expand throughout the first half of the year with new smartphone models including the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. The second half of the year saw the announcements of the Nokia 7, Nokia 8, and the entry-level Nokia 2, and several previous rumors have suggested that the company’s last 2017 handset will take the form of a premium flagship known as the Nokia 9. Sure enough, the Nokia 9 seen wrapped in protective cases on Amazon UK does appear to tick the boxes of a flagship device, as it bears an edge-to-edge display with relatively thin bezels at the top and bottom, as well as a dual-camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The back panel itself seems to be made of glass and much like the front panel, it wraps around the smartphone’s edges in a fashion reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S8. In fact, the Nokia 9 presented in these renders looks very similar to a series of sketches leaked back in September, which proved to depict the now-official Nokia 2 quite accurately.

The HualuBro protective cases for the Nokia 9 are available on Amazon UK in a total of six flavors split between two material choices. The list includes Carbon Fiber Black, Blue, and Red, as well as Litchi Black, Blue, and Red. Each protective case variant is currently listed alongside a discounted price of £3.88 (around $5.20) down from the original price tag of £26.88, or the rough equivalent of $36. Refer to the source link below for more details regarding the availability of the cases that may or may not fit the actual Nokia 9, provided that the handset even exists.
