The Google Pixelbook doesn’t have much to go on for protection, at least not in terms of official accessories, but that’s about to change soon. A sleek new Pixelbook sleeve is now listed on the Google Store with a “coming soon” label, albeit not many details are available at this point. Google has yet to reveal when the accessory will actually become available for purchase, or how much it will cost when it does. For now, the product page just lists a few pictures, a brief description, and the dimensions of the sleeve.
The premium Google Pixelbook made its debut back in early October and raised plenty of interest, sparking a slew of positive reviews due to its great hardware, sleek design, and the overall experience it delivers. In terms of accessories, however, Google remained silent so far and launched no official sleeves, cases, or anything else, for that matter. A Bellroy sleeve has been available for the device, but the official one from Google should make a worthy alternative. The description on the Google Store touts a seamless construction, a sleek design, and a smooth finish due “premium layered microfiber.” The sleeve offers protection for the Pixelbook and its stylus, as it also has a custom compartment specifically designed to fit the Pixelbook Pen.
Speaking of the Pixelbook Pen, Google has also listed replacement tips for the stylus on the Google Store. This is an important addition since the Pixelbook Pen doesn’t come with any extra tips in the box, and the original tip can break or pop out. Google notes that new tips should help ensure a natural pen-on-paper feeling when using the stylus. Google will be offering a set of three Pixebook Pen replacement tips for $15, but the pack is also listed with a “coming soon” label and no specific release date yet. The three-pack will also include tweezers to help users replace the stylus tips with ease. Although no official release date is available yet for the Pixelbook sleeve or the Pixelook Pen replacement tips, the official product pages on the Google Store indicates that the accessories will become available momentarily. Both items will likely be on sale in time for Christmas.
