OnePlus had introduced the Lava Red OnePlus 5T in China at the end of last month, and the device will become available for purchase in the company’s homeland on December 17. Having said that, the Lava Red variant of the OnePlus 5T is a special edition handset, and it gives consumers some options, as the Midnight Black is the only other color variant that is available at the moment. Having said that, the Lava Red OnePlus 5T comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the inside, and consumers in China will be able to grab it for 3,499 Yuan ($528).
Aside from the color difference, this handset is completely identical to the regular OnePlus 5T. It seems like, though, the 6GB RAM variant of the Lava Red OnePlus 5T will not be available, at least in China. OnePlus did not say anything about the availability of this smartphone outside of China, so it remains to be seen if the Lava Red OnePlus 5T will arrive in any other markets in the future. It is also worth noting that the company also introduced the Star Wars Edition of its newest flagship, and that variant of the OnePlus 5T comes with a white-colored back. The Star Wars Edition of the OnePlus 5T is an India exclusive, well, at least for now. The OnePlus 5T is made out of metal, just like its predecessor, the OnePlus 5, though unlike the OnePlus 5, the 5T version sports a larger display, and considerably thinner bezels. The OnePlus 5T’s display comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio, while the OnePlus 5 sports a regular 16:9 aspect ratio, which is yet another difference between the two phones.
The OnePlus 5T sports a 6.01-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) Optic AMOLED display, while it comes in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, which come with 64GB and 128GB of native storage, respectively. The OnePlus 5T is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, while the phone comes with a 3,300mAh non-removable battery. This handset features 20 and 16-megapixel shooters on its back, while you’ll find a 16-megapixel camera on the phone’s front side. Android 7.1.2 Nougat comes pre-installed on the OnePlus 5T, while on top of it you’ll be able to find OnePlus’ OxygenOS.
