According to the newest report, Meizu is planning to up its game in the first half of next year, as the company is gearing up to launch six new smartphones by the end of June 2018. This report comes from China, and it suggests that the company is looking to boost its sales in 2018, in order to better than this year. That’s not all, though, in addition to that, a report surfaced which says that Meizu is planning to ditch MediaTek, and stick with Samsung’s Exynos, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips instead, which is quite interesting considering that the company promised a couple of months back that it will continue releasing phones which will utilize chips from all three of those companies. In any case, read on.
According to the report, five smartphones that Meizu is planning to launch in the first half of next year will ship with Snapdragon processors, while one will include Samsung’s Exynos chip. Now, we’re not entirely sure what to expect from Meizu in the first half of next year, but we do know that the Meizu M15 Plus is coming, the company’s flagship smartphone which carries the number ‘15’ in its name due to the fact it’s Meizu’s 15th anniversary next year, though the company has been manufacturing smartphones for 10 years. In any case, the Meizu M15 Plus will be announced in Sprint, and the device actually leaked twice thus far. Judging by those leaks, the Meizu M15 Plus will sport really thin bezels, considerably thinner than any other Meizu-branded smartphone before it. The phone will ship with a ‘chin’ below the display, though, and the company’s mBack multifunctional button will be included on the phone, and it will also serve as a fingerprint scanner, which means you can expect a front-facing fingerprint scanner to be included on this phone.
Now, as already mentioned, we do not not have much info regarding Meizu’s upcoming phones, though it’s possible that the Meizu M7 Note will arrive in the first half of the year as well, and the same can be said for the Meizu M7, though that’s not that likely considering that both Meizu M6 and M6 Note arrived in the second half of this year. The Meizu M15 Plus will be the company’s flagship, and chances are it will be fueled by Samsung’s upcoming flagship Exynos processor, though it remains to be seen what will happen.
