Christmas has come and gone which means there are plenty of people who may be spending the next year interacting with a brand-new smart speaker, especially considering the amount of options that were available for consumers during the holiday shopping season. If you’re a fan of Alexa and all the available Alexa skills, then you may have been hoping for an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, or Echo Plus, and chances are if you’ve wanted one of these speakers and you made it clear this was a gift you were hoping to get, that you found one sitting under the tree on Christmas morning.
Of course, Amazon’s line of Alexa-powered speakers are not the only smart speakers on the market and available for purchase during the holidays. Two of Google’s Home speakers, the Google Home and the Google Home Mini, were both available from numerous retail outlets both online and in physical stores, and at discounted prices no less, which made for an even better value as consumers were able to save on some of the best smart home products around. Both the Google Home and Google Home Mini are also still available at a discounted cost, so even consumers who didn’t get one still have a chance to grab one before the prices go back up.
Google also recently launched the Google Home Max speaker which is the biggest of the bunch, offering all of the same features which includes asking Google for answers to questions, or controlling smart home products. The Google Home Max also boasts higher quality audio than the other two Google Home models, making this perfect for anyone that wants to use this as a means for streaming music on the regular. Those that are willing to wait till sometime next year will have even more options, as both LG and Samsung are set to release a smart speaker with Google Assistant on board, as is Sony, with both Sony and LG having already announced their speakers officially. No matter which digital assistant you’re more into, there are plenty of options with handfuls of features that are suitable to all different tastes.
