6GB RAM Moto X4 To Land In India On Feb. 1 With Android 8.0

Motorola India has just released a new teaser on its official Twitter page, and according to the provided info, the company is planning to launch a new smartphone on February 1. Motorola clearly mentions the Moto X4 in this video, though it mentions ‘the all new Moto X4’, which makes sense considering that the regular Moto X4, in both its 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, launched in India back in November.

That being said, Motorola did say that the all-new Moto X4 will be ‘much faster, smarter and sharper’, which does not exactly reveals all that much, but we’re presuming it will sport more RAM on the inside, as it’s highly unlikely that the company will mess with any other components on the inside of the device. It is, however, possible that more storage will be included along with more RAM. Now, the 6GB RAM variant of the phone has been listed on Flipkart for a while now, though not much info is available. When you click on the 6GB RAM variant of the phone on Flipkart, you only get a message that the device is currently not available, so we can’t really take a look at its specifications, price or anything of the sort. That being said, this listing does confirm that the phone will be available in a Sterling Blue color, at the very least, while 64GB of storage is also mentioned, so Motorola may not mess with storage after all.

In its teaser, Motorola did not mention Flipkart, but it is possible that the 6GB RAM Moto X4 variant will be exclusive to Flipkart. Now, in addition to teasing the arrival of a new phone, the company also teased that Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device. Just like the regular Moto X4 models, this variant will sport a 5.2-inch fullHD display, and a dual SIM card setup. The device will sport 12 and 8-megapixel shooters on its back, while a 16-megapixel snapper will be included on its front side. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 64-bit octa-core processor will almost certainly fuel the device, while a 3,000mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, and it will support Motorola’s Turbo Charging. The device will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and it will offer a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
