The Alcatel 5 Looks Pretty Slim In This New Leaked Image

The Alcatel 5 looks pretty slim in this new leaked image. The leak states that this will be Alcatel’s flagship smartphone for 2018 and that the design of the phone in this image is going to be the final design that the company has decided to settle on for the device. Though the design of the phone is shown in a Gold color only that doesn’t mean that Alcatel will only launch the 5 in Gold, though it is possible that could be the case, however unlikely it may be.

There’s no detail about the Alcatel 5 along with the leak when it comes to specs or features, but based on the image which showcases the phone from the front and the back you can make out a few things when it comes to what the phone will have in terms of hardware and design. For example, the Alcatel 5 will have a fingerprint sensor and it will be located on the back of the phone just under the single rear-facing camera and LED flash module, and just above the shiny Alcatel branding, and while the phone will only have one camera on the back, the front-facing camera sensors are another story entirely.

Following what will likely be a growing trend for this year on mobile devices, the Alcatel 5 looks to come with dual front-facing cameras to provide better self portrait shots to users, and the secondary sensor will probably do so by adding in additional features that aren’t usually there for devices with just one front-facing camera. As is to be expected the phone won’t have a home button as the fingerprint sensor is on the back and Alcatel has moved toward using on-screen nav keys instead of capacitive ones. The phone will also have almost no bezels on the front for the left, right, and bottom edges of the panel, though there is a pretty thick bezel at the top edge. The phone has a unibody design which means the SIM card tray is accessible by using an ejector tool, and the SIM slot is probably located on the left side of the frame whereas the volume buttons and the power button are on the right side. The back also has a sort of brushed metal look to it, though it’s not clear if this is actually made of metal. Though there haven’t been many rumors about the Alcatel 5 yet, this isn’t the first time it’s leaked. Back in September it leaked with the image showing the phone from the side, and again in November in what looked like a live image of a demo device, both times looking just as it does in today’s image.
