Avido's New WiBa Is A Wireless Power Bank & Home Charger

Those in the market for a new power bank may want to consider the WiBa dual-charging wireless power system from Avido when it becomes available. This is a power bank that has just been announced by the company and is due to arrive on the market soon. This is also a fairly expensive power bank (priced at $99.95) although it is unlike any other power bank currently available.

The reason for this is that the power bank forms only part of the package here. As in addition to the power bank, the WiBa dual-charging wireless power system also includes a Qi charging pad. In short, this is designed to not only be a charger you use at home when charging your device, but also a charger you can use while out and about. Topping off the charging capabilities of the WiBa dual-charging wireless power system, the charging pad is able to charge both the smartphone and the power bank at the same time. And of course, all wirelessly. All the user has to do is stack the power bank on top of the charging pad, and then the wireless phone on top of the power bank (as shown below). When the user is away from home, the power bank will keep devices charged in much the same way – by placing the phone directly on top of the power bank. As this is a Qi-based charger it is one that works with all Qi-compatible devices, including the latest from Samsung – the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8.

The power bank seems to be the original WiBa wireless power bank which the company first announced in January of last year and comes equipped with a 5,000 mAh capacity. Therefore, how many times it can charge a compatible smartphone will depend on the capacity of the smartphone, although most phones will certainly be able to get at least one full charge before the power bank needs to be recharged. While the company has yet to specifically confirm when the WiBa dual-charging wireless power system will be available to buy, it is expected to start shipping at some point in February of this year. In the meantime, Avido will be showcasing its new all-in-one wireless power bank and home charging solution at this year’s CES show.
