Blackview has released a new video which looks to showcase some of the main benefits on offer with its current smartphone, the Blackview BV9000. In particular, the video looks to promote the durable nature of the phone while also highlighting how it is the type of rugged phone which will appeal to those who are “tired of expensive gimmicks.” In the video the BV9000 is shown undertaking some less than typical durability tests, such as taking part in a game of pool where the BV9000 is used as one of the pool balls. Followed by scenes where the phone is repeatedly hit with a basketball, as well as a baseball bat. All of course while highlighting that even under conditions as extreme as these, the BV9000 not only manages to remain in one piece, but also in a fully-functional state.
As for why the Blackview BV9000 is so durable, the phone features a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display along with a general build quality that is largely made up of rubber and metal, resulting in an overall design that is well-protected against bumps, bangs, and any other impact encounters. Adding to that, this phone also includes an IP68 certification and therefore is also protected against dust and water damage. Durability aside, and the BV9000 also offers a number of features many might not expect from an affordable phone, including the employment of an 18:9 aspect ratio display, and a dual rear camera setup (consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera). In addition, up to 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 4,180 mAh battery, and Android 7.1 (Nougat), are all included as well.
The BV9000 is available in different versions including a Pro model (the one which comes with the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage) and a standard model boasting 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. While the Pro version is available to buy for $314.99 the standard version can currently be picked up for as little as $229.99 – as it is now part of a limited-time flash sale at GearBest.
