OnePlus has just announced the Lava Red OnePlus 5T in India. Following a series of teasers, the latest one of which arrived yesterday, the phone is finally official in the country. The Lava Red OnePlus 5T was announced in China first, and it is now making way to the second largest smartphone market in the world. This variant of the device is identical to the regular 8GB RAM OnePlus 5T in every way, except for the fact it comes with a red-colored body, compared to the Midnight Black OnePlus 5T’s paint job.
The Lava Red OnePlus 5T was originally announced back in November, soon after the OnePlus 5T was made official. The back side of this device is red-colored, as are its sides, but the front side is still black-colored. Lava Red OnePlus 5T joins the Star Wars OnePlus 5T edition in India, and both phones sport 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, just like the regular 8GB RAM variant of the phone. The Lava Red OnePlus 5T is priced at Rs. 37,999 in the country, same as the 8GB RAM Midnight Black OnePlus 5T model, and it will become available for purchase from Amazon India, exclusively, starting on January 20 at 12PM. This smartphone is made out of metal, it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back. Those two cameras protrude a bit, and an LED flash is placed next to them. The company’s logo is located on the back as well, while you will find the phone’s power / lock key and its SIM card tray on the right. On the left side of the phone, you will notice the volume up and volume down keys, and device’s alert slider.
The OnePlus 5T sports a large 6.01-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display, this is the company’s first smartphone with an 18:9 display, by the way. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes out of the box, with OnePlus’ OxygenOS included on top of it. A 3,300mAh non-removable battery is included in this package as well, and you will be able to recharge it using OnePlus’ proprietary Dash Charge fast charging. 20 and 16-megapixel shooters are included on the back of the phone, while a 16-megapixel camera is placed on the device’s front side.
