LG Announces New LG G6 And LG Q6 Color Variants

LG has just announced new color variants for its G6 and Q6 smartphones. The company introduced Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet, and Raspberry Rose LG G6 color variants, while the Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet color options for the LG Q6 have been announced as well. The LG G6 is already available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Terra Gold, Marine Blue, and Mystic White colors, while the LG Q6 shares all of those color options, except the Marine Blue option.

It is worth noting that these new color variants will become available in Korea’s homeland starting next month, though LG did not share a specific date just yet. Now, the Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet, and Raspberry Rose color options are not exactly new, as the LG V30 has been available in those options for quite some time now, LG is only refreshing the LG G6 and Q6 lineups, which is something consumers will probably appreciate. LG did mention that the new color variants will be launched in ‘key markets’ worldwide soon after those phones hit Korea, and the company also said that additional details, such as pricing and release dates, will be announced locally. Now, the LG G6 was announced back in February last year as the company’s flagship smartphone, even though it no longer holds that title, ever since the LG V30 arrived. The LG Q6 arrived a bit later last year, it was announced in July, and it became available in August. The LG Q6 is a budget offering by the company, as it is fueled by Qualcomm’s entry-level chip, and it actually comes in three sub-variants, LG Q6, LG Q6α and LG Q6 Plus.

The LG G6 and LG Q6 actually look quite similar, especially from the front. Both of these devices ship with a FullView display, they sport fairly thin bezels. Different build materials are used on the devices, though, the LG G6 is made out of more premium materials, which is not surprising considering it was announced as the company’s flagship. The LG G6 sports a 5.7-inch QHD+ display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of native storage, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 SoC. The LG Q6 sports a 5.5-inch fullHD+ display, 2GB / 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of native storage, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 435 SoC.
