Lyft Concierge Service Now Available To All Businesses

The Lyft Concierge service is now available to businesses of all sizes as part of its largest expansion to date, Lyft announced Tuesday, 15 months after originally introducing its specialized ride-hailing solution for enterprises. The core concept of the platform remains unchanged, being designed to allow firms to integrate Lyft’s offerings into their own operations and quickly schedule rides for their customers 24 hours per day. Lyft has been testing and refining the service for over a year now, having originally partnered with businesses such as CareMore, GoGoGrandparent, and JetBlue to do so. The specifics of its efforts to perfect Lyft Concierge haven’t been disclosed but the endeavor as a whole is understood to have been successful, with the startup now being confident enough to start offering the solution on a large scale.

Companies interested in using the newly expanded platform can do so by signing up for a free Lyft Business account and provide the system with their payment details. After a firm has set up its account and got approved by Lyft, it will be able to begin requesting rides for its customers. Besides ordering a ride momentarily, Lyft’s clients are also able to schedule them up to a week in advance, the company confirmed. Customers waiting for a ride will receive a confirmation that one is coming via a text message which will also provide them with all details they need to rendezvous with their driver. Lyft Concierge doesn’t target a specific industry and is meant to be a universally convenient solution, the startup claims. Enterprises looking to get started with Lyft Concierge can refer to the banner below.

The full launch of the service marks yet another milestone for Lyft and its plans to continue pursuing sustainable growth going forward. The company recently started its international expansion with Canada and is reportedly considering the United Kingdom as its next destination, looking to rival Uber and a number of other ride-hailing startups around the world. As is the case with the rest of the industry, Lyft’s endgame revolves around autonomous vehicles, though the San Francisco-based firm claims such solutions won’t leave its drivers jobless.
