New KOOLNEE K1 Trio Video Released, On Sale January 29

KOOLNEE might not be a name everyone is familiar with but it is a company looking to bring to market smartphones that go beyond expectation. In fact, Beyond Expectation is the mantra KOOLNEE has now adopted to summarize its smartphone ambitions with the company stating its mission is “to deliver beautiful devices with premium quality at the best price possible.”

Its latest phone, the KOOLNEE K1 Trio, is one the company hopes fills the criteria as this phone packs in the specs, a number of trending design points, and is now available to order at a very affordable price – less than $240. In terms of those specs, the K1 Trio features 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6763 octa-core processor. A 4,200 mAh battery is included, as is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 7.0 (Nougat). As for the design, one of its most obvious features is the inclusion of a tri-bezel-less display accompanying the 6.01-inch screen. It is this particular design cue which has led to the ‘Trio’ name. Another current design aspect is the employment of a dual camera setup on the back of the device. Which on this occasion comes courtesy of a 16-megapixel camera coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary camera.

Those who are familiar with the brand will know this is a follow on device to the company’s K1 smartphone which launched in late 2017. What is noteworthy here though is how quick the company was able to bring the K1 Trio to market following the recent release of the original model. Even more so when taking into consideration the number of upgrades the new model has over the old one. Upgrades not only in the specs, but also the actual design. Something the company puts down to its Research and Development (R&D) efforts.
