HQ Trivia has now made its way over to Android following its initial release on iOS and is already proving to be a popular option for Android users. The app is listed as having first become available on January 1, 2018 and has already seen more than 100,000 installs. HQ Trivia is a free to download app from the Google Play Store although the current release is listed as a ‘beta’ release so it stands to reason users should expect the possibility of bugs and/or a less than perfect user experience.
One of the reasons HQ Trivia has proved to be such a popular game is that it is not quite the same as most other app-based games. This is due to this one adopting more of a game show form. That is, more of a game show form that any other game show app as this one offers players the chance to win real money by taking part. Another difference between this app and similar apps is that you cannot exactly use this one as and when you want. With this being a game show app and offering real money, all of the main action occurs in real time. So like any other game show you will have to literally tune in to the app to take part.
Speaking of which, the main show runs daily at 9 PM (EST) with additional ‘shows’ weekdays at 3PM (EST). At which point players will take part in a mass event where they will have to answer a number of questions with only a few seconds to answer each question. Players who are unable to answer the question correctly, or in the allotted time, are eliminated and the rest move onto the next question. The pattern continues until the end of the show where the winner (or winners) get paid. Besides having an Android device, the only other caveat listed on the Google Play Store is devices must be running Android 5.1 (Lollipop) at a minimum. Although those interested will also need to have a PayPal account as that is the method of payment used for winnings. More details and the option to download HQ Trivia through the link below.
