Xiaomi had started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone back in December, and that update has been pulled now, it seems. A number of users reported various bugs to the company, post-update bugs, and a screenshot just surfaced showing off a Mi rep confirming that the update has been stopped. He basically says that the update has been stopped temporarily, and that the users who inquired about the update, should stay tuned for further updates from the company.

Now, various different bugs were reported by users, but one of the most notable ones is the battery drain, and judging by the reports that have been coming in, the battery drain bug is closely connected to the phone’s Bluetooth function. Ambient display notifications are broken for some users, and some consumers even had issues when answering a call if the phone’s display is turned off, but the phone is not locked. These are some significant bugs, and the major ones that have surfaced following the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the phone. Now, the Xiaomi Mi A1, as many of you already know, is a part of Google’s Android One project, which essentially means that it comes with stock Android, not Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. The XIaomi Mi A1 is the first Android One smartphone that Xiaomi released, and it’s actually identical to the company’s Xiaomi Mi 5X handset in every way, except it comes with a different software, but its design and specs are completely identical.

We currently do not know when will Xiaomi continue releasing Android 8.0 Oreo for the Xiaomi Mi A1, but those bugs will, hopefully, be amended soon. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is a metal-clad phone, and it has been selling rather well for Xiaomi, mainly due to its price tag. The Xiaomi Mi A1 has a lot to offer, and it doesn’t really cost all that much. This phone comes with a dual camera setup on the back, while it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner as well. The phone features a 5.5-inch fullHD display, while it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The phone comes with a 3,080mAh non-removable battery, while fast charging (5V/2A) is also a part of the package.
