Xiaomi has announced that the Mi MIX 2 has received ‘2017 People’s Ingenuity Product Award’. Xiaomi received this award at the China Quality Enhance Summit Forum & 2017 ‘People Incentive Award’ ceremony, which covered Internet, communications, automobiles, real estate, travel and a number of other fields, reports Xiaomi. At the awards ceremony, the ‘People Incentive Award’ was handed out in a number of fields, and Xiaomi’s flagship managed to grab it in the aforementioned section, and that section represents originally, inventiveness and ‘the quality of being clever’.
Xiaomi actually shared the award on its official MIUI Forums, and you can check it out in the gallery down below, As you can see, this award is basically a statue that reminds us a bit of the statue that is handed out at the Oscars, even though this one is noticeably different. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has been around for a while now, the phone was announced back in September last year, and it is still the company’s flagship smartphone, as the Xiaomi Mi 7 has not been announced just yet. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is an improvement over its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi MIX, there’s no doubt about it, Xiaomi did improve its earpiece (included a regular one this time around), which was one of the main complaints when it comes to the first-gen model, and the same can be said for the phone’s camera. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is smaller than its predecessor, and even though it sports a huge 5.99-inch display, it’s still rather manageable. Xiaomi even used ceramic in combination with metal in order to build this smartphone, even though a ceramic-only model is also available.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 comes in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is technically still the most Qualcomm-branded SoC out there, as not a single Snapdragon 845-powered device is available at this point. The Xiaomi MI MIX 2 also comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and it offers two SIM card slots on the inside.
