AGM has just confirmed that it will attend this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The company has released an invite to consumers and media to visit its booth at MWC, as the company will be at MWC from February 26 to March 1. Now, during the Mobile World Congress, AGM is planning to announce a new smartphone, the AGM X3, which will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 845, and ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, at least according to the company’s invitation.
Now, in addition to the phone’s chipset and operating system, we also know that the AGM X3 will be a rugged smartphone, as that is more or less AGM’s calling card. The device will include IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and it will be well-equipped for outdoor use, due to its ruggedness. The company’s invite actually confirms some of the phones aspects, aside from its SoC and software version. The invite confirms that the AGM X3 will be the company’s new flagships, while this invite also says that a dual camera setup will be included on the back of this smartphone. A battery image is also included in the invite, which suggests that a rather large battery may be included here. This invitation also lets you check out the design of phone’s sides, which suggests a metal build, and some red button accents as well.
The AGM X2 was announced back in September last year, while AGM has been in business since 2008. This company specialized in manufacturing rugged devices, and the upcoming AGM X3 will probably be somewhat different than its predecessor, as we’re expecting thinner bezels and no capacitive buttons on that handset. The AGM X2 sported a dual camera setup as well, while the phone utilized 6GB of RAM, two 12-megapixel cameras, and a 6,000mAh non-removable battery. The AGM X3 will ship with a battery that will be around 5,000-6,000mAh as well, and it will probably utilize on-screen buttons instead of the capacitive ones. The company’s booth will be located at Hall 7, Stand 7E20, in case you’re planning to attend MWC this year.
