AT&T is set to kick off three new limited-time package deals for users in select areas starting March 1 in order to promote the launch of two new unlimited data plans. The plans in question are, of course, AT&T’s Unlimited Plus Enhanced and Unlimited Choice Enhanced and each plan comes with benefits of its own for users across the U.S. The first comes with 15GB of mobile hotspot data for each line, with the first line starting at $80. The latter provides unlimited data as well, but without the hotspot and lines cost $40 each for plans with four lines. Both plans come with a $15 loyalty credit that can be used toward any of AT&T’s video services and HBO access included. However, in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles subscribers will be getting a little something extra to sweeten the deal.
For users in New York, switching from another carrier or plan to either of AT&T’s new services will come with a full year of DirectTV Now at no cost. That works whether subscribers are new to the service or existing members and includes 60 channels. Perhaps best of all, AT&T says New Yorkers can snag other video content thanks to a video credit increase to $35 per month from the usual $15. Jumping over to the other side of the country, L.A. users aren’t getting quite such an extensive offer but will be able to pick up a second brand new smartphone with their promotion. That’s if they buy one of the newest additions to AT&T’s lineup via the AT&T Next program and sign up a new line of service. Chicago gets a separate offer, as well, with a promotion that’s tied in with how extensive AT&T’s home internet service in that region. In fact, buying into one of the company’s new AT&T Unlimited Plus Enhanced plan from any competing service will net subscribers who are also a new or existing home internet subscriber free home internet for life. That’s zero cost connections at up to 50Mbps for as long as wireless service is maintained. Meanwhile, those users will also be getting an additional $30 monthly credit applicable toward tiers with higher speeds.
Of course, once the offers expire, it’s important to note that all services will return to whatever their designated costs are. So subscribers will want to check the dates and cancel service in advance if they don’t plan on paying for it after it expires. That pertains to any increases in monthly video credits, as well, which means that number will drop back to $15 per month after the term is up. In the meantime, AT&T didn’t provide a specific date for when the promotion would cease to be offered. So anybody interested will want to head over to the official company site or a retail location for more details about the deals.
