BLUBOO has just announced the BLUBOO S2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The company has released quite a few teasers when it comes to this smartphone, and now we finally have some more info about it. The device sports rather thin bezels all around, though it does come with a ‘chin’ below the display. The main feature of this handset is its rotatable camera, which we’ll talk about in a second. The phone also sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual-LED, dual-tone flash above it.
The BLUBOO S2 features a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display by Sharp, and a 4,300mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, and a 21-megapixel Sony camera is included on the back of this smartphone, and it also acts as the phone’s front-facing snapper. This is a customized camera, says BLUBOO, and it sits on the back by default, but if you want to take some selfies or make video calls, it will flip and become a front-facing camera. The device itself is made out of metal, and the company claims that the part that rotates, is made out of ‘reinforced materials’ and it is quite durable. BLUBOO says that this phone’s camera can be rotated up to 100,000 times, as the company paid special attention to that mechanism.
That is more or less all the info that BLUBOO shared for the time being, as we do not know how much will the BLUBOO S2 cost, nor when will it become available, exactly. The company also did not share a full spec sheet for this smartphone, only some tidbits that we’ve mentioned. In addition to announcing the BLUBOO S2, the company also brought several other smartphones with it to MWC 2018, including the BLUBOO S3, D5, and RX smartphones, all of which can be checked out at BLUBOO’s booth in Barcelona. The company will probably release more info regarding the BLUBOO S2 in the near future, as this is its new flagship handsets, so if you’re interested, stay tuned, we’ll report as soon as more info becomes available.
