First Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Camera Samples Surface

The very first Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro cameras samples have just surfaced. For those of you who do not know, Xiaomi actually introduced two Redmi Note 5 handsets yesterday, the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. That being said, the camera samples we’re here to talk about were taken by the Redmi Note 5 Pro, a handset which comes with a dual camera setup on the back, while the Redmi Note 5 sports one snapper on its back side, read on.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with 12 and 5-megapixel camera, which are vertically-aligned, and they do resemble the iPhone X’s setup, that’s for sure, at least in terms of the design. In any case, the phone’s 12-megapixel snapper sports an f/2.2 aperture, and we’re looking at Sony’s IMX486 sensor here, with 1.25um pixel size, while PDAF is also included here. The secondary rear-facing sensor sports an f/2.0 aperture, along with 1.12um pixel size, in case you were wondering. The device’s secondary rear-facing snapper has been included for background blurring, so that you can shoot some images with bokeh effects, and that is something that the Redmi Note 5 Pro has over the Redmi Note 5. Now, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see six camera samples, all of which have been taken with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, though do keep in mind that they have been compressed.

If you take a look at the ‘No Parking Zone’ image down below, you will be able to see the phone’s dual cameras in action, as this image has a nice bokeh effect, maybe even surprisingly nice, as the transition seems to be fairly smooth. These images, in general, do look rather nice, colors do seem realistic, and the details are on point, even the ones which were taken indoors under questionable lighting. We’ve seen far better images, of course, but these do seem to be quite impressive considering the Redmi Note 5 Pro’s price point. Now, as there are only six images here, we’ll have to wait to get our hands on the Redmi Note 5 Pro review unit in order to test its dual camera properly, which will be soon, hopefully.
