Huawei P20 Real-Life Images Leak, Different Design Suggested

The Huawei P20 has just surfaced in the wild, and these are real-life images we’re looking at there. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see three new images of the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Now, the source claims that this is the Huawei P20, not the Huawei P20 Plus, and the phone seems to be made out of metal and glass, while the company’s branding is visible on the back of this phone.

Lecia’s branding is visible on the back of this smartphone as well, and the device seems to sport three cameras on the back. Next to the phone’s two cameras, which are located in the upper-left corner of the phone’s back side, you will notice an LED flash, and yet another camera sensor next to it. That this sensor is larger than the first two, and we’re still not entirely sure that we’re looking at a third camera sensor here, but truth be said, nothing else comes to mind. After all, it may end up being some camera-focused sensor, but not the lens itself. Now, this smartphone looks considerably different than the alleged Huawei P20 which got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently. The Huawei EML_TL00 surfaced on TENAA earlier this month with a dual camera setup on the back, and a front-facing fingerprint scanner. That device featured a vertically-aligned dual camera setup, which is a complete opposite of the one that leaked today.

The device that surfaced today doesn’t seem to sport a fingerprint scanner either, unless if it’s located under the display, which is possible. So, we’re basically still in the dark as far as the Huawei P20 is concerned, as conflicting designs keep on popping up, and it’s not entirely clear what to expect in the design department. One thing is for sure, though, both the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus / Pro will be fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Huawei’s flagship SoC. This processor fuels the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones, which were introduced at the end of last year. The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will be announced on March 27, Huawei confirmed that a while back.
