J.D. Power is hailing Verizon Wireless as the top carrier in the U.S. for network quality. Based on the Wireless Network Quality Performance study from J.D. Power, which asked consumers in the country about their experiences with their wireless carrier, more consumers are happy with the network quality performance on Verizon more than any other carrier. This seems like an admittedly big achievement all on its own, but according to Verizon this is also not the first time it’s won this award, highlighting that this is the twentieth time it has been voted as the top carrier for Wireless Network Quality Performance. What’s more is that this was the twentieth time in a row.
This latest study was conducted between the months of July and December of 2017, and is the second study from last year, and the twentieth study over a ten-year period in which Verizon has been ranked number one in this particular area. Customers were reportedly asked about their experiences with data, messages, and call quality on the network for the wireless carrier that they subscribe to for services.
In addition to being voted up by customers yet again as the number one wireless carrier in the country for network quality, Verizon also notes that it was voted as the number one carrier for network quality in all six regions where J.D. Power holds the study, and that this is the third time in a row that it has done so. Beyond this study from J.D. Power, Verizon is keen on mentioning additional studies which come from independent third parties, such as the latest US National Rootscore Report from RootMetrics which names Verizon as the top carrier for overall network performance. Verizon says it’s also the best network for streaming, which it bases on nationally collected data from video tests held by Neilsen. On top of being vote the best network in the U.S. for network quality, Verizon also recently reported its fourth quarter earnings from 2017, in which it reported $18.8 billion in net income, as well as over one million in new postpaid customer ads, marking another strong quarter for the U.S.’ largest wireless carrier.
