Lava Red OnePlus 5T Sold Out In North America & India

A Lava Red variant of the OnePlus 5T is now sold out in both North America and India, it seems. That is a limited edition variant of the device, and it was released on a global basis about three weeks ago, and it is still available in a number of countries, but not North America (including both the US and Canada, of course) or India. OnePlus actually confirmed that the device is sold out in North America via its official Twitter account, while the company also thanked those of you who purchased one.

OnePlus did not release any sales info, so we have no idea how many units the company had to begin with, nor how many it managed to sell in North America or India. It is worth noting, however, that both 6GB and 8GB RAM Midnight Black variants of the device are still available for purchase in both North America and India. OnePlus did not mention if more Lava Red units will be made available to consumers, but considering this is a special edition variant of the phone, it is quite possible that the company will not be manufacturing any more of them, but we’ll have to wait and see what will happen. The OnePlus 5T comes in several variants, the Midnight Black was the only color option that was made available initially, while later on the company announced Star Wars Edition of the phone, along with Sandstone White and Lava Red models. The Star Wars Edition and Sandstone White variants are basically the same, though, except for the Star Wars branding, of course.

The OnePlus 6 is not expected to arrive for another couple of months, it will probably launch in June or July, so there’s still plenty of time for OnePlus to release a new version of the OnePlus 5T, or manufacture Lava Red variant of the phone again. There is always a chance that the company may release the OnePlus 6 ahead of time, but chances are that will not happen, as the OnePlus 5 launched back in June 2017, while the OnePlus 5T arrived in November last year. The OnePlus 5T is, as many of you know, the company’s flagship smartphones, which is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, and sports a 6.01-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display.
