The Ulefone Power 3 was first announced back in Decemer of 2017 at which time it was confirmed as running on Android Nougat. However, Ulefone has made it clear since that this is one of its phones which will be receiving an update to the latest version of Android – Oreo. While there was no clear time-frame suggested as to when an Oreo update would arrive for this new handset, it does seem as though the time is approaching as the company has now released a new video showcasing Oreo running on the Power 3.
Technically speaking, the Ulefone Power 3 currently runs on Android 7.1 and the version shown in this new video is Android 8.1. Which does mean the video show the Power 3 sporting the very latest tweaks Android has to offer. For example, the transparent notification shade and improved notifications in general. As well as the more general changes on offer with Oreo such as Notification Dots, pinned shortcuts, Picture-in-Picture (PIP), and much more. All of which are also touched upon in this latest video.
As for the Ulefone Power 3, this is a phone which stays true to the phone’s name as it does place a big focus on the level of battery life on offer due to the inclusion of a 6,080 mAh battery. Although that is not the only selling point on offer as the display comes in at 6-inches and makes use of an 18:9 aspect ratio, resulting in a 2160 x 1080 resolution. Likewise, the Power 3 also employs a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 21-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera. Keep in mind the dual camera setup is only one of them as the Power 3 also includes a dual camera combo on the front, made up of a 13-megapixel primary camera along with another 5-megapixel camera.
