Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus Business-Focused Video Leaks

A new video has appeared online which seems to be an official launch video for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The video reportedly went live through Samsung before quickly being pulled again although (via Slashleaks) the video has not stayed offline for very long as it can be viewed in full below.

As is probably to be expected with one of the biggest and most important smartphone launches of 2018, this is likely to be only one of the promotional videos that Samsung releases in the coming days and weeks. On that note, this video seems to be more of a business-focused video as it specifically highlights a number of features and aspects that are of particular benefit to those in need of greater productivity solutions. For example, the highlights of the video include features such as multitasking, support for Samsung DeX, support for Samsung KNOX, advanced biometric authentication, as well as a focus on an enterprise edition of the software for richer business-focused support. Resulting in a video that is far more market-targeted than one designed for the general consumer marker. It even concludes with the tagline “now the perfect phone for you, is the perfect phone for business.”

Irrespective of this, the video does provide a much closer look at the Galaxy S9 and considering this is seemingly an official video that has now leaked, it does confirm a number of rumored and highly-reported on features which will be of interest to general consumers. For example, various shots in the video highlight the inclusion of a single rear camera on the standard model, along with a dual rear camera setup on the Galaxy S9 Plus. Likewise, the video showcases the various improvements to the camera software including better augmented reality (AR) integration, as well as real-time translation. While other confirmed aspects include water and dust-resistance (IP68 rating), the re-positioning of the fingerprint sensor, a fuller security package, and more. So the video (which runs for a little over three minutes) is worth a quick watch. As for the official unveiling, when all of the design points, specs, and features associated with the Galaxy S9 and S9 will be confirmed – that is due to take place tomorrow during Samsung’s dedicated MWC 2018 event.
