Vernee has now provided some details on what it will be showcasing during this year’s MWC event in Barcelona. Vernee is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer who has risen to prominence by offering a number of different devices where each one is typically designed with a certain user in mind, or as a means to solve a specific issue. For example, battery life. As part of today’s announcement, Vernee has confirmed it will be highlighting a number of its main smartphone lines at the event, as well as releasing two new phones.
In terms of the existing lines, Vernee states it will be promoting its T, M, V, and Apollo lines at the event. These lines are prime examples of how Vernee markets a specific phone to a specific customer. For example, the T line (otherwise known as the ‘Thor’ line is all about battery life, M – also known as the ‘Mars’ line – is more focused on style and fashion, while the V line comes with more of an emphasis on durability and ruggedness. Apollo, on the other hand, looks to encompass everything Vernee has to offer in a line of flagship smartphones with high-end specs and a premium design. Speaking of which, one of the new phones to be released at the event is the Apollo 2 (shown below). With this being an Apollo phone it does pack in the specs and the design points including a full metal body, along with 5.99-inch display which makes use of an 18:9 aspect ratio. Inside, the Apollo 2 will feature 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and be powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core processor. Additional features include a dual rear camera setup (comprised of 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel cameras), an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, Pump Express fast charging support, and Android 8.1 (Oreo).
The second phone to be released at the event will be the Vernee V2 (shown below). As this is a V phone it is one designed for those looking for a more rugged option and this is best understood in terms of a more durable build quality, as well as an IP68 certification for protection against dust and water. In addition, the Vernee V2 will feature no less than four cameras, will boast an 18:9 aspect ratio, and will be powered by a core combination of 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a MediaTek Helio P23 processor.
