Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are due to be announced officially at Mobile World Congress which takes place in Barcelona, Spain at the end of this month. According to Samsung’s press invites that went out around a week or two ago, the date of the press conference where the announcement will take place is February 25, which is when we should learn all there is to know about the two new phones, perhaps save for the price and exact availability dates as those tend to be announced by carriers and retailers who plan to sell the product. All that aside, no information has been confirmed about the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus yet beyond the announcement date, but the most recent leak showcases what all four official colors are supposed to be, three of them which have already leaked on their own in other press renders.
The four colors are said to be called Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Titanium Gray, with the Lilac Purple color being the only one that’s really new as the other three were available on last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. It’s not known if all carriers will sell all four colors, or if all retailers will do the same, but it is likely, so there’s a good chance that as a consumer you won’t have to search far and wide to get your hands on one.
No specs or hardware information have been confirmed about either the Galaxy S9 or the Galaxy S9 Plus just yet, but rumors suggest (just as the images do) that the Galaxy S9 will come with a single rear-facing camera, while the Galaxy S9 Plus comes with a dual camera setup on the back, which would make it the first Galaxy S series device to carry a dual rear camera and the fourth Galaxy device in general with this configuration, following the Galaxy Note 8 that Samsung released last Fall, as well as the Galaxy J7 Plus and the Galaxy C8. Specs aside, which of the four “official” colors do you like the most? The Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, or Titanium Gray?
