The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S rumors and leaks are all over the place, and the alleged Mi MIX 2S just leaked yet again. This time around we’re looking at a real-life image of the phone, well, a real-life image of its back side. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is placed next to the Mi MIX 2 in this image, the Mi MIX 2S is on the left, while you will see the Mi MIX 2 on the right. You will notice straight away that build materials seems to similar, if not identical, but there are some differences here.
The most obvious difference between these two handsets comes down to their cameras, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a single camera, next to which you will notice an LED flash, and below that camera lies a fingerprint scanner. On the alleged Mi MIX 2S, you will notice a dual camera setup, which is placed in the upper-left corner of the phone’s back side. That dual camera setup resembles the Redmi Note 5 Pro’s offering, and an LED flash sits in-between those two snappers. The ‘Mi MIX Designed By Xiaomi’ branding is present on both devices, though the ‘Mi’ part is left out on the Mi MIX 2. This seems to be the metal + glass variant of the Mi MIX 2, and the Mi MIX 2S seems to be made out of those very same materials, though a ceramic unibody Mi MIX 2S is also a possibility.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be announced on March 27, Xiaomi had confirmed that a while back. The company had released several teasers for the upcoming phone, teasing its camera and its AI capabilities. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835, and if recently-leaked firmware files are to be believed, it will also support wireless charging. The Mi MIX 2S will allegedly ship with ARCore support as well, while the phone will sport a fullHD+ display. The Mi MIX 2S will probably come with an OLED panel, and chances are that Xiaomi will introduce both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants of that smartphone. The Mi MIX 2S will become the company’s new flagship smartphone, and it will ship with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 skin, which will be installed on top of Google’s operating system.
