Gameloft on Thursday soft-launched its latest mobile game, having announced that Dungeon Hunter Champions is now available for download on Android devices in Canada and Vietnam. As is the case with previous installments in the franchise, the latest Dungeon Hunter title is an action role-playing game with 3D graphics and a robust customization system, though Gameloft now opted to place a larger focus on providing players with a large character roster to choose from, hence the name of its latest creation. Dungeon Hunter Champions offers over 250 characters that can be leveled up and fitted with a wide variety of weapons and equipment, with all of them being able to embark on what Gameloft describes as “an epic adventure.”
The available heroes are all said to be unique in terms of abilities which warrant different playing styles, with many supported characters being inspired by and adapted from previous Dungeon Hunter games. While the single-player campaign appears to be a relatively traditional ARPG experience Dungeon Hunter fans are already accustomed to, the title also features a 5v5 multiplayer mode which is essentially a MOBA in the vein of Dota 2 and League of Legends. The ARPG also reimagines the art style of the franchise and is much more cartoonish than previous titles, whereas its environments are said to be significantly more varied than what older Dungeon Hunter installments were able to offer. Besides Android and iOS, Dungeon Hunters Champions is also set to be released for Windows 10 computers through the Microsoft Store.

No specific global availability window has yet been provided by Gameloft, though Dungeon Hunter Champions is understood to be targeting a spring launch. The developer-publisher is expected to release at least a handful of other new mobile games over the course of this year, including another installment in the popular Asphalt franchise.
