First Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Promo Video Is Design-Focused

Xiaomi had introduced its new flagship smartphone, the Mi MIX 2S, a couple of days ago, and the very first promo video for that phone is now live. This video was published via the company’s official YouTube page, and it’s all about the design. The video itself has been embedded down below, for your convenience, and if you fire it up, you will be able to check out both the Black and White variants of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, up close and personal. Xiaomi created this cinematic video to show off the design of the device, while not a single spec is mentioned in it.

Having said that, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S comes in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, while three storage versions are available. This time around, all the variants of the phone are made out of ceramic, Xiaomi had opted for a more premium ceramic unibody build on all models, while only the 8GB RAM variant of the Mi MIX 2 sported such build. Speaking of which, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Mi MIX 2S looks almost identical one to the other, the most notable difference lies on the back of the two devices, as the Mi MIX 2 comes with a single camera, while the Mi MIX 2S sports a dual camera setup on its back side. Ceramic is more durable than glass, it doesn’t scratch as easily, so in that regard, this is a really nice move by the company, but do keep in mind that the phone is a bit heavier because of it, it weighs almost 200 grams. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S also comes with wireless charging, which was not present in the Mi MIX 2, while the device is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, compared to the Mi MIX 2’s Snapdragon 835 SoC.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of non-expandable storage. Two 12-megapixel snappers are included on the back of the phone, along with a fingerprint scanner. A 5-megapixel camera is placed on the front side of the phone, while the device packs in a 3,400mAh non-removable battery. The Mi MIX 2S sports really thin bezels, while the thickest one out of the box sits below the phone’s display. If you’d like to know more about the device, click here.
