Google has launched a new promotion for customers who purchase the Pixel 2 XL from the Google Store, throwing in $100 in store credit. The discount is valid when buying the flagship smartphone at full retail price, which is $849. Customers can then use this store credit toward any purchase from the Google Store, but it will take a while to receive it. Google will send the $100 store credit to the user’s Gmail account one month and a half after the Pixel 2 XL purchase. The promotion started on March 1 and is running only for a limited time, while supplies last. Interested customers have to buy the handset by March 17 to take advantage of this offer, but if the Pixel 2 XL goes out of stock before that date, the promotion will end sooner.
On top of the $100 store credit for purchasing the Pixel 2 XL at full retail price, Google is also offering $400 or more in credit for trading in an old smartphone. This $400 credit will arrive as a credit card refund. The value of the credit will vary depending on the device being traded in, its condition, and value. Google says it could exceed $400, but doesn’t go into additional details. As always with trade-ins, the device being turned in has to be in working order, fully functional. These offers are only for U.S. customers, and they are non-transferable. The credit is only valid if the smartphone is not returned.
The Google Pixel XL is considered one of the best Android smartphones currently available on the market, although it had its fair share of issues since its release. The smartphone comes with high-end specs and features, stock Android 8.0 Oreo, and a sleek design. As a reminder, the Google Pixel 2 XL made its debut back in October 2017 sporting a metal-and-glass construction and thinner bezels than its predecessor. The smartphone has a 6-inch pOLED display with a QHD+ resolution (2,880 x 1,440 pixels), a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 12.2-megapixel rear camera, among the highlights. The handset also features a fingerprint reader on its back, and it supports fast charging. Since the offer is limited, anyone who has considered picking up a Pixel 2 XL will want to act on Google’s offer fast.
