Google has kicked off the registration process for the upcoming Cloud Next ’18 conference that is scheduled to take place from July 24 through 26 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The goal of the event is to help shape the future of cloud computing by convening a pool of entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and developers. The registration was opened a few months after Google announced that it was looking for proposals for speaking sessions at the search giant’s upcoming cloud-related conference, with the solicitation having been ended last January 26.
This year’s iteration of the event is expected to bring together a range of industry innovators as well as Google executives like Diane Greene, Chief Executive Officer of Google Cloud. The conference will include a series of demonstrations related to cloud solutions as well as code labs and training sessions dedicated to a wide variety of areas such as devices, infrastructure, machine learning, and security. For those attending the event, Google will provide access to its own lineup of cloud engineers, executives, and developers for potential business opportunities. Industry experts outside of Google are also invited to share educational talks about cloud computing at the event. During last year’s Cloud Next conference, more than 250 speakers from Google and over 70 customers shared their ideas during the breakout sessions in addition to the keynote speeches of Eric Schmidt, one of Google’s founders and Google’s current Chief Executive Officer, Sundar Pichai.
Several announcements were also made during the Cloud Next ’17, including a range of security features for the Google Cloud Platform and G Suite meant to help protect corporate assets and keep businesses operational. Google also unveiled a suite of data analytics products and services for the Google Cloud as part of an effort to help customers use data in addressing business problems. New cloud machine learning solutions also debuted to help boost the company’s initiative in providing organizations with access to machine learning technologies. Additionally, fresh platforms and tools were also launched to bolster Google’s efforts to keep its resources for developers open as much as possible.
