Huawei Mate 20, Nova 3 & Enjoy 8 Coming In 2018, Specs Leak

Huawei is set to release a number of new smartphone series over the course of this year, with its upcoming portfolio including the P20, Mate 20, Nova 3, and the Enjoy 8 product families, according to latest rumors out of China. The company’s 2018 lineup is now said to have leaked in its entirety, along with its planned specs that show Huawei will soon be embracing its in-house HiSilicon chips even more, much like other industry sources recently claimed. The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are said to feature 5.9- and 6-inch display panels with FHD and QHD resolutions, respectively. Huawei is supposedly planning to offer both smartphones in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space, and another one with double the flash memory and 6GB of RAM. The Mate 20 Pro is also rumored to have a model with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage, with that particular version being expected to be advertised as the Porsche Edition Mate 20.

The phablets are said to be retaining a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel sensor and another 20-megapixel one, whereas their top bezels are set to house an 8-megapixel module, according to the same report. Huawei is allegedly planning to launch the Mate 20 series in October, with the lineup starting at approximately 3,899 yuan ($614) and going as high as 8,999 yuan ($1,419). In the meantime, Huawei is expected to launch the third set of additions to its Nova lineup – the Nova 3 and Nova 3S. Both handsets are set to launch in May, with the regular Nova 3 allegedly having a 6-inch FHD panel and the Kirin 960 chip, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash memory. A model with 6GB of RAM is also said to be on the cards, as is the one with double the storage space and extra RAM. The Nova 3 is expected to feature two dual-camera setups, albeit the secondary modules of either system aren’t expected to do much, being of the 2-megapixel variety. The main camera of the device will have a 16-megapixel sensor, the same report suggests. The Nova 3 is set to start at the equivalent of $425, whereas the most premium model is expected to be priced at approximately $536. The Nova 3S may not be introduced before December as it’s expected to feature the Kirin 970 chip.

The Enjoy 8 and Enjoy 8 Plus are set to be released in mid-2018, about several months apart. The Enjoy 8S is said to be hitting the market in late 2018, with all three featuring the Kirin 670 and being expected to compete in various mid-range price brackets. The Honor V10 Play and Honor V11 are also rumored to be coming this year, together with the Honor Play 7 and Honor Play 7A. The Honor 10 is likely to debut in June, whereas the Honor 10 Lite should follow half a year later, according to the same source. Huawei‘s next product launch event is taking place in Paris later this month and should see the debut of the P20, P20 Plus/Pro, and the P20 Lite.
