Leaked Huawei Y9 2018 press renders match the FCC images which were recently discovered on March 6. The upcoming phone from the Chinese manufacturer will, based on all the recently leaked photos, come with a metal body design though it’s still not known what kind of metal will be used to create the outer unibody shell of the phone. Just as depicted in the images found in the FCC documents, the Huawei Y9 2018 will come in Gold with a White front surrounding the display panel, with dual cameras sitting in the left corner of the top bezel.
The phone will also feature dual rear-facing cameras along with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor in the center towards the top. By the looks of it Huawei has incorporated a U-Shaped antenna design on the back at the top and bottom edges, and the Huawei logo as well as branding can be seen on the back and front respectively.
There a lot of unknowns about the device at this point still even with the phone having been rumored to be getting close to an official announcement date of March 15. So far, no specs information has been leaked about the Y9 2018 other than the fact that it is rumored to come with a 3,900mAh battery, a micro USB charging port, and a 3.5mm audio port for plugging in headphones. It’s still unclear what the resolution will be for either of the cameras on both the back and front, or what the size of the screen will be. It’s also unknown what processor Huawei has chosen to integrate with this device and there’s no information on RAM or storage just yet. According to the rumor the Y9 2018 will be announced on the above-mentioned date in Thailand, so it may just be a device meant exclusively for that particular market or it could just be that this is where Huawei is going to officially unveil the phone. If the announcement date is correct then it won’t be too long before Huawei ends up officially confirming more details about the phone, such as the region availability, pricing, and the actual launch dates. Though Gold is so far the only color of the device that’s been leaked, Huawei tends to offer phones in more than one color so it’s likely there will be more than a Gold color option.
