Nest x Yale Lock & Nest Hello Available In The U.S.

The Nest x Yale Lock and the Nest Hello video doorbell are now available in the U.S., and you can pick them up directly from Nest’s online store if you’re keen on adding to your smart home or beginning to set one up with a couple of Nest’s latest products to hit the market, which pair well together on top of offering some compelling features for consumers when used on their own as well. In addition to the Nest x Yale Lock and Nest Hello being available at Nest’s own website, they’ll also be available at Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy, and may come to Amazon and other retailers at some point in the near future.

While both devices are just launching today they were both announced officially back in September of last year, so it’s been a long time coming for those who have been waiting to get their hands on both of these smart home products. Nest is selling the lock for $249, while the Hello video doorbell will cost just a bit less at $229.

The Nest Hello doesn’t have any requirements aside from needing a wired doorbell chime to operate, but the Nest x Yale Lock will require that home owners have either the Nest Connect, or the Nest Guard which comes in the Nest Secure kit. That said if you don’t need or want the Nest Secure kit, you can pick up the Nest Connect in a bundle with the Nest x Yale Lock for $279, which might be beneficial since you’ll need it for the lock to work anyway. As these are Nest products you can control them through the Nest companion app, but they’re also compatible with Google Assistant so there is some voice-integration enabled too, making things a whole lot more convenient for anyone who likes to do things hands-free as much as possible. If you’re looking at getting one or  both of these, they’re available from today.
