OPPO F7 Launching In India On March 26, Invites Are Out

OPPO has started sending out invites for the OPPO F7’s launch event in India, which will take place on March 26. Now, the company actually already announced the OPPO F7 on March 13, when it sent out a press release with the announcement, but in that press release barely any images and specs were shared. So, it seems like all the details will be announced on March 26, and this whole launch strategy is a bit weird, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen from OPPO already, as the company is doing something rather similar with the OPPO R15.

In any case, OPPO already shared a couple of OPPO F7 renders, confirming that the phone will ship with thin bezels, and a display notch. The device will also ship with a 25-megapixel front-facing camera, as this phone can be referred to as the ‘selfie phone’. The device will also include a 6.2-inch fullHD+ (2280 x 1080) display, which results in a 19:9 display aspect ratio. The phone will come with an 89.09-percent screen-to-body ratio, and ColorOS will come pre-installed on it, which is OPPO’s custom UI. That UI will rely on gestures quite a bit, and the company will also pack in its AI Beauty Recognition 2.0 technology into the package, which is essentially OPPO’s software feature for the camera. That software is expected to boost OPPO F7’s selfie game quite a bit, though it remains to be seen if the camera will be any good.

OPPO has released some additional images of the phone along with this invite, but we still don’t get to see the whole device, as its back side is missing. In any case, these images do confirm that the loudspeaker will be placed on the bottom of the OPPO F7, while a 3.5mm headphone jack will also be located there. The power / lock key will sit on the right-hand side of the phone, while its volume up and down buttons will be located on the left. The device itself will probably be made out of metal, and based on the provided renders, it’s also easy to notice that a curved glass will be applied on top of the phone’s display. AR stickers will also be a part of the offering, and that’s pretty much all we know thus far.
