The Android Oreo-powered BLU Vivo XL3 has launched in the U.S. via Amazon. This is the latest phone from BLU (Bold Like Us) and not only comes with the latest software but also some of the specs that are competitive with many of the other phones that are currently out and which have launched between now and the past three to five months. Specifications like the 18:9 aspect ratio display are details you can see on many of today’s top flagships, and some of the top flagships from 2017 as well as BLU’s own Vivo X that was announced and launched earlier this year, so BLU is getting around to releasing another device which leverages the popularity of such a trait with consumers.
Already available for purchase and coming to market at $190, the Vivo XL3 aims to push the boundaries of what can be expected on the specs, features, and build quality fronts from a low-cost smartphone. BLU has always been known for launching phones with a price tag that can often be seen at under $200, and the Vivo XL3 is no different, but it does appear to bring BLU more in line with features that are more current in regards to the smartphone landscape for 2018. In addition to the aspect ratio, the display comes in at a size of 5.5-inches with an HD+ resolution, making it big enough for many but not too big that it would likely feel uncomfortable to the majority of consumers.
Display aside, the Vivo XL3 also comes with a 3,000mAh battery inside that should be capable of charging all the way up to full in around an hour and a half. The device comes with a 13-megapixel main camera on the back as well as a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front, and both cameras are equipped LED flash modules or better lighting when needed. On the inside it has 32GB of expandable storage and 3GB of RAM and it’s running on the MediaTek 6737 quad-core processor. The phone is also unlocked and works on AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Cricket and other GSM carriers in the U.S, and it comes in Silver and Gold.
