Samsung customers will get same-day repairs starting March 15 thanks to a new partnership between Samsung and a company called uBreakiFix. The new deal will enable customers of Samsung devices to go to one of 300 different uBreakiFix retail stores across the U.S., and the best part is that customers generally won’t have to wait very long for the repair to be completed as it’s reported that these same-day repairs would for the most part happen within a two-hour time window at the maximum. That means customers can get in and get out with a phone that feels like new no matter how damaged it may have been beforehand.
uBreakiFix is an official part of the Samsung Care service which the company has been offering to consumers who purchase its devices, and it’s possible to walk into any one of the authorized locations and request a repair on the spot or customers can decide to first set up an appointment to have the repair completed at a time that may be more convenient and fit in with their schedules.
In regards to the phones that will be covered under these repairs, there are a handful of devices which are included like the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the Galaxy Note 8, the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The repairs that can be done can include battery replacements, front and back panel replacements, repairs to the ports and cameras, and even out-of-warranty support services, so pretty much any repair issue you may have can be fixed under this new deal and in as little as two hours or less. While there are already 300 different locations that Samsung device owners can go to for repairs from uBreakiFix certified Samsung repair professionals, the company plans to add an additional 200 locations that will offer the same services by early 2019, which will help them reach more customers and allow more people to get repairs on their devices should they need it. There isn’t any mention of cost associated with the repairs, though it will vary depending on what needs to be fixed and will likely vary depending on the severity of the damage.
