Ulefone was one of the smartphone brands in attendance during MWC 2018 and had quite a few devices on show. In addition to showcasing a number of its existing phones, the company was also demoing a number of new ones, including the Ulefone T2 Pro, T2, S1, S1 Pro, and the Power 5. Starting with the Ulefone T2 Pro this is largely considered to be the company’s newest flagship phone and as a result comes packed with a number of high-end specs. This is a phone that Ulefone is positioning as the world’s first smartphone equipped with a MediaTek Helio P70 processor. This is further padded out by the Ulefone T2 Pro featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Making this on paper, a powerful smartphone before even considering the other selling points such as an in-display fingerprint sensor, facial recognition support, and a dual rear camera setup – comprised of a 21-megapixel camera along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera. The rest of the spec list is made up of a 6.7-inch display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a 2260 x 1080 resolution, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5,000 mAh battery, and Android 8.1 (Oreo).
While the Ulefone T2 is not quite as high end as the Ulefone T2 Pro, it is still one which packs in the specs. For example, Ulefone once again refers to this as a world’s first due to it coming powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor. This is along with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. As well as a 6.18-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution. A dual camera setup is also included here, as is 13-megapixel front-facing camera, a 4,400 mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and Android 8.1 (Oreo). Both the Ulefone T2 Pro and the Ulefone T2 are expected to become available in April.
Also on show was the Ulefone S1 and the S1 Pro and what is most noticeable about these phones is they come running on Android Go (Oreo Edition), meaning that in spite of their lesser spec lists, the operating system is designed to work perfectly with these devices for an optimal user experience. Both the Ulefone S1 and the S1 Pro feature a 5.5-inch display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio, as well as a dual rear camera setup consisting of 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras. In addition to 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, a fingerprint sensor, and a 3,000 mAh battery. In fact the main difference between the two is the Ulefone S1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 processor while the Ulefone S1 Pro comes powered by a MT6739 processor. Both of these models are expected to launch in March.
Those more concerned with battery life might want to check out the Ulefone Power 5 as its big selling point is the inclusion of a whopping 13,000 mAh battery. Although, this is also a phone that features a 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a FHD+ resolution. As well as dual camera setups on the front (13-megapixel and 5-megapixel) of the device, and the back (21-megapixel and 5-megapixel). The rest of the specs include 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, a MediaTek MT6763 processor, fingerprint sensor, and Android 8.1 (Oreo)
Ulefone was also showcasing a number of rugged devices which all form part of the Armor line. For example, there is the Armor 3 which comes loaded with a 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution. As well as 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and a MediaTek Helio P23 processor. A dual rear camera setup is also included (consisting of 21-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras), a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, fingerprint sensor, a massive 10,300 mAh battery, and Android 8.1. Then there is the Armor X and the Armor L which both feature a 5.5-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, as well as 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, a rear camera setup (13-megapixel and 5-megapixel), an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5,500 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and Android 8.1 (Oreo). In fact the main difference between the two is the Armor X is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 processor and the Armor L is powered by an MT6580 processor. Last up there is the Armor Mini. This one’s big selling point is how small it is as not only does it come with a tiny 2.4-inch display, but also a 2,500 mAh battery.
