Huawei will introduce its new flagships, the P20 and P20 Pro, in about an hour, and you’re in luck if you were planning to watch the event live. Huawei has shared a live stream link with the public, as the company will live stream its press conference via YouTube, a link has been embedded down below. Having said that, Huawei will introduce its new flagships in Paris, France, following the arrival of the P20 Lite which was silently announced in Poland quite recently, though we don’t doubt that Huawei will talk about the P20 Lite during the event as well.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro have been leaking for weeks now, so we have pretty much info about both phones thus far. Both of these smartphones will be made out of metal and glass, while both devices will sport a display notch as well. The two phones will look quite similar, though the P20 Pro will, unlike its sibling, ship with three cameras on the back. Both devices will sport Leica’s lenses on top of its camera sensors, while both phones will sport thin bezels, even though a thin ‘chin’ will be placed below the display of both smartphones. Now, as far as specs are concerned, Huawei’s Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel both phones, and that is Huawei’s very own flagship processor, which fuels the company’s Mate 10-branded flagship offerings. If rumors and leaks are accurate, the Huawei P20 Pro will ship with 40, 20 and 8-megapixel cameras, while the P20 will include 20 and 12-megapixel snappers.
The Huawei P20 is expected to sport 4GB of RAM, while the P20 Pro will include 6GB of RAM. Both devices will probably arrive with 128GB of non-expandable storage, while you can expect to see rather large displays in both of these devices, though the ‘Pro’ model is expected to ship with a larger panel. Android Oreo will almost certainly come pre-installed on the P20 and P20 Pro, and a new version of Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin is also expected. It is still unknown whether the two phones will offer wireless charging or not, but one thing is for sure, fast wired charging will definitely be a part of the package.
