It’s official, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus have now launched and are available through Samsung’s own online store and through various retailers and carriers across the globe, which means there are numerous people that pre-ordered one of or both of the phones that are already enjoying them. For anyone else, though, that may have wanted to wait so they could purchase either one of the phones in-store, that time is now here and you can grab it at your retailer or carrier of choice.
If you’ve been on the fence then the official launch also serves as a way for you to check the device out and hold it in your hands. To play with the features and test the camera, and generally just look at every aspect of the phone before you make the decision to buy and upgrade to a new device. Though Samsung didn’t change too much with its new phones, there are a handful of improvements and new features to look forward to, namely the dual camera on the back of the Galaxy S9 Plus and the variable aperture for the main camera sensor for both phones. If you love taking smartphone photos then this will be one of the first things you’ll want to play with.
Another thing to consider is that whichever phone you choose, if you live in the U.S. you’ll have three colors to choose from, assuming that the retailer or carrier you go to isn’t out of stock of any of them when you go. Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are going to be a little pricey from some of the carriers, so if you don’t care too much about walking out of the store with a new phone in-hand, then ordering online unlocked may be the way to go, as this will save you some money and you’ll still get the same device, the only difference being you’ll need to wait a bit before it arrives.
