Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S' Design Gets Confirmed By Kris Wu

It seems like Wu Yifan (also known as Kris Wu) is Xiaomi’s brand ambassador for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, as he just shared three new images via Twitter, confirming the phone’s design. Kris Wu, for those of you who don’t know, is a Chinese actor, and this is not the first time Chinese smartphone manufacturers cooperate with him. Having said that, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see three new images in which Kris Wu holds the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, and thus confirms the phone’s design.

As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will not sport a notch, as some leaks have been suggesting. The phone will resemble the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 quite a bit, it seems, though it is quite possible that it will sport even thinner bezels. The device will feature a really thin ‘chin’ below the display, while the rest of its bezels will be equally thin, almost non-existent. In these images, Kris Wu shows off the front side of the device only, but if the leaks are to be believed, the phone will ship with a dual camera setup on the back, while its fingerprint scanner will also be included on the back. So, an in-display fingerprint scanner will not be a part of this package, it seems, and the device will probably be made out of metal and glass, while a ceramic unibody variant is also a possibility, as the Mi MIX 2 shipped in both versions.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while the phone will probably include either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, both variants may launch, actually. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is expected to sport a 6-inch display (5.99-inch or 6.01-inch), and some rumors even claim that it will feature an OLED panel. The device is also rumored to sport wireless charging, while Android Nougat or Oreo will come pre-installed on it, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 skin on top of it. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will almost certainly ship with navigation gestures, while it remains to be seen what version of MIUI 9 Xiaomi included here, but we’re expecting to see MIUI 9.5. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be announced on March 27 in China, which is something Xiaomi confirmed a while back.

UPDATE: Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, shared those very same images, which reconfirms the phone’s design.
