A new device offering of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE has passed through the certification process of the telecommunications regulator, TENAA. This could mean that the smartphone, dubbed as the ZTE A606, will likely be launched in the East Asian country in the near future. The telecommunications regulator has released several images of the handset on its website, which show that the device sports a single rear camera located near the upper right corner of the handset’s rear panel. The LED flash is placed directly below the rear camera of the handset, and the loudspeaker is also placed at the back of the smartphone. The listing further claims that the device will sport a 5.45-inch display with a resolution of 1440 by 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The images also show that the front-facing camera and the earpiece are placed above the display and that the volume rocker and the power button are both located on the smartphone’s right side.
Aside from releasing images of the device, the TENAA listing also provided additional information regarding the specifications of the ZTE A606. According to the regulator, the device will be powered by a chipset that is comprised of a quad-core CPU running at a maximum speed of 1.3GHz. The handset will also include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal flash storage, which could be expanded using a microSD card with a capacity of up to 128GB. The device will also support the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) standard, which allows users to make calls while connected to the LTE network. The rear camera of the smartphone will be equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor, which is capable of recording videos with a resolution of 1080p. The front-facing selfie shooter, on the other hand, will have a 2-megapixel snapper. To keep its lights on, the handset will include a 2,600mAh battery.
TENAA’s listing further notes that the ZTE A606 will be available in two color options, which are silver and blue. The handset will weigh 140 grams, according to the regulator, and the smartphone will measure 146.3 x 69.2 x 8.5mm. The handset will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, while ZTE’s skin will be applied on top of it, most probably.
