The ZTE Tempo Go was announced last month during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, as ZTE’s first Android Go smartphone, and that phone is now available in the US. The ZTE Tempo Go is obviously an entry-level smartphone, while it comes with rather chunky top and bottom bezels, and three capacitive buttons below its display The phone has a rather interesting pattern on its back, and a rear-facing speaker. The company’s logo can be found on the back of the device, while all the physical keys are located on the right-hand side of the Tempo Go. As already mentioned, this is an Android Go smartphone, which means it ships with a special version of Android, which is considerably lighter than your regular Android build. Android 8.0 Oreo Go ships with the Tempo Go, and along with a lighter build of Android, you’ll also get a number of Google-made ‘Go’ apps, which take considerably less space than regular applications developed by the company, apps like YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Files Go, and so on. The ZTE Tempo Go features a 5-inch 854 x 480 display, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card).
This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 210 64-bit quad-core processor, and it comes with a 2,200mAh battery. The phone is available in only one color option, Gray, and it sports a 5-megapixel snapper on the back, along with an LED flash. A 2-megapixel camera is included on the front side of this smartphone, while the device does sport a 3.5mm headphone jack. You will need a micro SIM card in order to use this phone’s cellular connectivity, and it is also worth noting that the phone comes with Bluetooth 4.2. The ZTE Tempo Go measures 145.5 x 72 x 9.2mm, so it is quite compact, despite the fact, its bezels are not exactly all that thin.
