Several retailers have already listed four different models of the Acer Chromebox CXI3, according to the online publication ChromeUnboxed. The Acer Chromebox CXI3 was first announced by the Taiwanese device maker back in January 2018, and it is positioned towards both the education and commercial sectors. According to ChromeUnboxed, the listing on the website of the online retailer NextWarehouse stated that the devices will be in stock on April 19th, while other retailers like TigerDirect and Newegg have already listed the Chromebox CXI3 for sale.
The four variants of the Acer Chromebox CXI3 differ primarily in terms of pricing and internal specifications like the CPU, the size of RAM, and the capacity of the Solid State Drive (SSD). The cheapest model of the device, which can be identified using the model number CXI3-4GKM, sports an Intel Celeron 3865U CPU that is running at a maximum clock speed of 1.8GHz. The product includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of SSD storage, and it comes with a price tag of around $297.99. A more expensive variant of the device, which has a model number CXI3-I38GKM, is equipped with a more powerful 7th Generation Intel Core i3 7130U CPU clocked at 2.7GHz and it includes 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This model of the device is expected to be priced at around $469.99. On the other hand, the Acer Chromebox CXI3-I58GKM, which is priced at $511.99, is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 8250U CPU with a maximum clock speed of 1.6GHz, and it includes 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Last but not the least, the most expensive variant of the Acer Chromebox CXI3, which has a model number CXI3-I716GKM, is equipped with an Intel Core i7 8550U CPU, and it comes with 16GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This variant of the device has a price tag of around $744.99.
All four variants of the Chromebox CXI3 support connectivity features like USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and Gigabit Ethernet. In addition, Acer previously mentioned that the Chromebox CXI3 will support 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 LE. Furthermore, the device maker will include accessories like vertical stands, VESA mounting kit, and wireless antenna with every Chromebox.
