The alleged Meizu 15 has just surfaced in yet another image, prior to its announcement which will take place on April 22. That being said, the Meizu 15 will be announced alongside its siblings, the Meizu 15 Lite and Meizu 15 Plus. The Meizu 15 and 15 Lite are expected to be mid-range offerings by the company, while the Meizu 15 Plus is the company’s upcoming flagship. The Meizu 15 had surfaced a number of times thus far, while the device also got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, though this newly-leaked image looks somewhat different than what TENAA reported.
If you take a look at the provided image, you will notice that the top and side bezels on the device are extremely thin, we do not get to see the bottom bezels, but the top bezel is noticeably thinner than expected. Three Meizu-branded devices got listed on TENAA last month, the Meizu M881Q, M871Q, and M891Q. Those three devices actually looks quite similar one to the other, and all three of them come with a fingerprint scanner which is placed below the display. They also come with rather noticeable top and bottom bezels, while their earpiece is centered above the display. All in all, those three phones do resemble some iPhone devices, at least from the front, but this newly-leaked image looks considerably different for some reason, as its top is a lot thinner than expected.
Is it possible that this is not one of the Meizu 15-branded handsets, or perhaps one of the devices that got certified is not the Meizu 15? Well, anything is possible, but if this is, in fact, one of Meizu’s upcoming handsets, it is possible that we’re looking at the Meizu 15 Plus, as that phone is expected to be the most powerful Meizu 15-branded handset. On the other hand, Meizu’s exec did confirm a while back that the company is working on a ‘bezel-less’ handset which will be announced later this year, so it is possible that this is the device he was referring to, but that means that it will not launch on April 22. The Meizu 15 is expected to sport a 5.46-inch fullHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 660, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and a 2,940mAh non-removable battery. The Meizu 15 Plus, on the other hand, will come with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and a 3,430mAh battery.
