The Xiaomi-backed Black Shark smartphone will be announced on April 13, tomorrow, and the very first hands-on video with this smartphone has just surfaced in China. If you take a look at the video which is embedded down below, you’ll be able to see the device very briefly, as this is a 3-second video, but the phone seems to be legit, though we have no way of confirming that, of course, we’ll just have to wait for Black Shark to introduce it in order to more sure.
Having said that, if you pay close attention to the provided video, you will notice that the device sports a dual camera setup on the back, while an LED flash sits next to those two cameras. The device seems to be thicker than regular smartphones, which is not exactly surprising, as we’re expecting a huge battery to be included inside of it. A fingerprint scanner seems to be included on the front side of the phone, below its display, and the phone’s bezels are not exactly razor thin. This handset’s UI will ship without an app drawer, so it is possible we’re looking at Xiaomi’s MIUI skin with a theme applied on it. The phone seems to be made out of metal, and it seems like Xiaomi’s logo will not be included on the device itself, only Black Shark’s, though that was to be expected. That’s pretty much all the info that we were able to pull out of the video that leaked.
Black Shark has already confirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, and we’re guessing that it will also include a rather large display, its panel will be at least 5.99-inches in size. The phone will also include plenty of RAM, probably 8GB of RAM, though it’s possible that Black Shark may opt to introduce two variants of the device, so we may get a 6GB RAM variant of the phone as well. A large battery will be included in the package as well, and it remains to be seen what is Black Sharp planning in terms of audio, as front-facing speakers would definitely be a great addition for a gaming smartphone, but we’ll see what in the company’s plans.
